This is a delayed deployment airbag case. Plaintiff was a front seat, passenger in a vehicle that was speeding, and lost control when the vehicle was broadsided by a SUV. Plaintiff sustained traumatic brain injury. A lawsuit was filed against the driver of plaintiff's vehicle, the owners of plaintiff's vehicle, and the car manufacturer. Plaintiff settled all claims against all parties in the amount of $4,720,000, with majority of funds recovered from car manufacturer.
