Plaintiff, aged 19, dove into a county owned swimming pool and hit the bottom and became a quadriplegic. There was no offer to compromise by the County. The plaintiff was ordered to prove damages in pesos since plaintiff was living in Mexico at the time of trial. The jury found that the County was 75% negligent and plaintiff was 25% negligent.
