Plaintiff, a lead man, attempted to fix an electric forklift. Plaintiff did not have mechanical training. He opened up the back of the forklift, touched two electric contacts which caused the forklift to jerk forward. He touched two (2) other contacts and the forklift moved in high speed reverse pinning Plaintiff against the wall and crushing his pelvis. Plaintiff required several urethra surgeries and a penile implant. Plaintiff returned to work in 6 months. Defendant General Electric settled before trial for $250,000.00. Defendant Clark Equipment made no offer to settle.
