Allen v. State (Riverside County Superior Court)

This is a single car accident roll over accident. Police officers placed the car leaving the road in excess of 80 mph where it went airborne and rolled several times. Plaintiff suffered permanent brain damage. Plaintiff is being taken care of by his mother and is confined to a wheelchair. The case against the State of California was based on highway design deficiency and particularly dangerous condition of public property in that the brim or dike was too high creating a hazard. The slope was also not protected by a guardrail. The case settled after discovery. Mr. Pop was co counsel along with a prominent law firm in the prosecution of this litigation.
